Going live on TikTok is a thrilling opportunity to interact with your fans and boost your audience count. However, TikTok’s 1000 followers limitation may make it impossible for those new to the platform to access this feature.
In the following section, we’ll go through how to go live on TikTok without 1000 fans. We’ll also discuss how to build a large following, how to broadcast live on TikTok, and when to go live on TikTok.
What Is TikTok Live?
TikTok LIVE is just what you’d expect—it’s the platform’s approach to broadcasting live video, much like Instagram Live, Facebook Live, LinkedIn Live, and YouTube Live. According to the platform, TikTok LIVE lets viewers and hosts communicate in real-time.
TikTok Live is an excellent approach to boosting engagement and growing a dedicated following. You can do this by hosting interviews, Q&A sessions, product evaluations, or live performances.
You can also use it to demonstrate your abilities or converse casually with your fans.
If you’re wondering how to get live access on TikTok, you should know that there are a few community criteria you must meet before you may live stream on the platform:
- To go LIVE and send gifts to a host during a LIVE session, you must be 18 years old or older. (Note: Gifts are digital presents from the viewers that can be converted into cash.)
- To host a TikTok live, you must have a minimum of 1,000 followers (though a hack is currently available).
How Many Fans Do You Need to Stream on TikTok?
Generally, you’ll need at least 1,000 followers to go live. It is the bare minimum of followers required by TikTok to be eligible for their live-streaming service.
Remember that this figure is merely a guideline. Even if you have 1,000 followers, the platform may prevent you from going live if it detects any suspicious activity on your account.
For example, if you’ve been reported for spam or marked for inappropriate content, you cannot go live until the problem is rectified.
How to Stream on TikTok?
Here’s how to go TikTok live if you can access the platform’s live-streaming features.
- Step 1: Open the TikTok app and tap the ‘+’ symbol at the base of the screen.
- Step 2: In the bottom navigation, swipe left until you reach “LIVE”, then click on it.
- Step 3: Select an image and create a headline for your stream. Note: The title and cover image must persuade viewers to click on your video.
- Step 4: Tap the “Go Live” button in the bottom right corner.
- Step 5: Wait for the stream to begin. Before you go live, you will notice a “3-2-1” countdown.
- Step 6: When you’re live, you can communicate with your audience by replying to comments and questions. You can also add filters, music, and effects to your stream.
- Step 7: Tap ‘End Live Video’ after your broadcast to finish streaming.
